Additional Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally in a construction or project-based environment.
- Demonstrated experience in vendor negotiations, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
- Knowledge of procurement practices within dynamic, project-based environments where schedules and budgets may shift
- Experience with inventory management and logistics coordination to support large-scale construction projects.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers and manage cost-saving opportunities.
- Ability to manage procurement processes aligned with project schedules and requirements.
- Knowledgeable in budgeting, cost analysis, and forecasting to control procurement costs effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication to liaise with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
- Skilled in using Google Sheets for efficient order management and inventory tracking.
Responsibilities & Context
- Develop procurement plans aligned with project timelines, identifying key materials, equipment, and services needed for timely execution.
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers. Negotiate contracts to secure the best pricing and quality.
- Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor procurement spending to align with project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and flagging any deviations for review.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to inspect and verify materials upon delivery, ensuring they meet project specifications and standards.
- Oversee the transportation and delivery of goods to the project site, coordinating with logistics providers to ensure on-time arrival.
- Track project materials and equipment inventory levels, coordinating with the site team to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations for all procurement activities. Maintain organized records of contracts, purchase orders, and supplier correspondence.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and service providers, addressing any issues that may arise to support long-term partnerships.
- Continuously analyze market trends, supplier options, and pricing dynamics to make informed procurement decisions that benefit the project.
